This annual event brings together students, families, and educators for a day dedicated to unlocking opportunities in higher education. This year, we are excited to welcome nearly 40 colleges and universities, intentionally selected to provide our community scholars with meaningful access to explore higher educational opportunities. In addition, educational resource providers and professionals will be present to connect students with the tools they need to succeed.

2021-2024
Since 2021, Empower My Hood has received over 1500+ students at its annual college fair in Southeast Queens.
Highligths
In 2023, Empower My Hood Inc. successfully hosted its 3rd Annual Southeast Queens College Fair at the Majority Family Life Center. The event brought together over 30 colleges and universities, community organizations, and local leaders to provide resources and guidance for students and families pursuing higher education.

College Access & Representation: The fair featured a diverse mix of institutions, including Predominantly White Institutions (PWIs) and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), ensuring broad representation and opportunities.
